Information about Metropolitan Tickets
Passengers can travel with Metropolitan Tickets during their validity period in the area of the ticket zone or zones for which they were purchased:
- by all Public Transport vehicles in Kraków,
- by Koleje Małopolskie trains and buses,
- by POLREGIO trains (excluding commercial trains),
- by Koleje Śląskie trains (excluding commercial trains),
- by municipal transport vehicles (from August 1, 2023, the Metropolitan Ticket has been valid for Wieliczka, Skawina, Niepołomice, Michałowice, Wielka Wieś and Zielonki).
The discounts applied to the Metropolitan Ticket depend on the channel through which the ticket is purchased. For example, if a passenger buys a ticket on the Kraków Public Transport website, they must prove their eligibility for the discount offered on that website when travelling on trains. Eligibility for free travel, including tickets for free rides, is not honoured. A Metropolitan Ticket must be returned to the operator from whom the ticket was purchased.

How do I obtain a Kraków City Card (KKM)?
The Kraków City Card is a personal electronic medium for a season ticket. To become a user of the KKM system and purchase a season ticket for the first time, while simultaneously receiving a free KKM card, please visit one of the Passenger Service Points and there:
- fill in the appropriate application (available below for download)
- present a document confirming identity
- submit a photograph
When your personal data changes to the extent that it also needs to be changed on the KKM card, you should go to any Passenger Service Point to update it. In the event that a KKM card is lost or damaged and this is the fault of the user, please go to any Passenger Service Point in order to receive a duplicate card along with the recently purchased, valid season ticket. The cost of issuing a duplicate card is PLN 12. .
How do I obtain a Małopolska Agglomeration Card (MKA)?
The Małopolska Agglomeration Card is a personal electronic medium for a season ticket. To become a user of the MKA system, simply go to one of the MKA Customer Service Points with a document confirming your identity and a photograph. You will then be issued, free of charge, with a personalized MKA card, on which the first season ticket will be registered. It is also possible to order the card through the MKA website and then either collect it in person at the MKA Customer Service Point or have it delivered by post.

Complaints regarding the distribution of KMK tickets in the Kraków City Card system (stationary KKM ticket machines, mobile ticket machines, Electronic Passenger Account, the mKKM app) can be made by phone on 12 19 150. This number is available 24 hours a day and the call charge is based on the local operator’s rate. Otherwise, complaints can be sent by e-mail to: reklamacje@kkm.krakow.pl.
