Types of tickets

ADDITIONAL CHARGES

Agglomeration tickets of value effective until 31^st May 2009 can be updated by means of purchasing additional marks (PLN 0.20, 0.25, or 0.40) at season tickets sales points.

Validating old tickets updated with the selected additional charge gives the passenger the right to travel as if he had purchased the ticket at the price currently effective.

TICKETS OF OLD DESIGN

All tickets with graphic design effective until 31.12.2007 and of value corresponding to the tariff currently in effect shall remain valid within the borders of Cracow until they are no longer available and in use.

AGGLOMERATION TICKETS

1. TICKET FOR A SPECIFIC AGGLOMERATION LINE is valid for the agglomeration line for which the client paid in the City zone or in two zones (City and Outskirts) only in day transportation.
2. AGGLOMERATION NETWORK TICKETS are valid for all lines of city transportation (day and night) of MPK S.A. in Cracow, both within the borders of the city proper and outside its territory.

… but even before you buy your ticket, take some time to think about the following:

• how long is the journey going to be?
• who will you travel with?
• are you entitled to any discounts?
• do you plan on changing vehicles during your journey?

Regulations concerning public transport discounts were changed in connection with the resolution of Cracow City Council of 1^st January 2004. Up until the effective date of the resolution, there was one discount rate for all persons entitled to discounts. When the resolution was passed, two types of discount were introduced: statutory and gmina.
